This case study outlines the successful completion of the re-roofing project involving eighteen (18) buildings located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

The scope of work included the complete removal and replacement of existing shingles, as well as the installation of upgraded roofing components. These upgrades included:

  • New roof ventilation systems
  • Replacement of plumbing and chimney boots
  • Installation of new metal edging and flashing
  • Full replacement of all necessary roofing elements to enhance durability and performance

During the course of the project, Building #4 was found to have rotten plywood, which was identified and promptly replaced to maintain structural integrity.

The successful delivery of this project reflects strong coordination, effective communication, and a commitment to high-quality results between NDS – Commercial and the Advanced Level Roofing team. The roofing upgrades will provide enhanced protection, improved longevity, and greater functionality for all buildings and their associated unit numbers.

Documentation

  • Photos of each building and corresponding unit numbers are attached for reference.
  • Hard copies of WSCC safety inspection reports for each building (including all unit numbers) have been delivered to the NDS – Commercial office for safekeeping. These documents can be organized into individual files per building as needed.
