A diagnostic evaluation that connects your roof, attic, insulation, ventilation, and drainage into one clear picture.
Most roof inspections stop at the shingles. They check the surface, hand you a quote, and move on. They never enter the attic. They never check whether your ventilation is balanced or your insulation is doing its job. They never ask why the roof is failing—just what it will cost to replace it.
Our Home Performance Assessment is different.
It’s a diagnostic process that traces every visible symptom—ice dams, attic rain, ceiling stains, high energy bills—to its root cause. You receive a detailed report with photographic evidence, a prioritised action plan, and honest guidance on what to fix first.
These symptoms indicate your attic ventilation system isn’t working as designed. Each connects to a specific failure point we check during the assessment:
If you recognise three or more of these symptoms, the ventilation system is almost certainly out of balance. The root cause is identifiable during a Home Performance Assessment.
The assessment is designed to leave you with a clear view of what’s happening, why it matters, and what to fix first so the next decision is informed, not rushed.
Attic, roof, and exterior images are tied to key findings where conditions allow. The problem is visible, not just described.
No opaque technical jargon. Findings are written in language you can act on, question, or share with another decision-maker.
Not everything needs to be fixed now. The plan tells you what must go first and what can wait, so you’re not pressured into unnecessary work.
Each recommendation is linked to the problem it actually solves. You’re not paying to patch symptoms; you’re fixing the system.
If roof repairs are needed, you leave with a clear recommended scope. No pressure to sign anything on the spot.
Three different services, three different deliverables. Understanding the difference saves time and money.
A standard roof inspection focuses on shingles, flashing, and surface-level conditions. Our assessment adds attic insulation review, ventilation balance check, air leakage identification, and moisture assessment—the hidden factors that determine whether your roof actually lasts.
An EnerGuide home evaluation is a formal whole-home energy evaluation performed by a Registered Energy Advisor through the federal EnerGuide rating system, typically including blower-door testing and energy modelling. Our assessment is a roof-and-attic-performance diagnostic. They’re complementary services, not the same thing.
